Bobby Valentine Is Your Neighborhood Traffic Cop

Bobby Valentine directing traffic in Stamford Connecticut

Well, maybe not your neighborhood. But definitely in the neighborhood of Stamford, Connecticut.

The former MLB manager/current ESPN analyst also triples as Stamford Director of Public Safety. And apparently, it’s cool in Stamford for the Director of Public Safety to also direct traffic after a snow storm.

With traffic snarled on I-95 and local roads still slippery because of Wednesday night’s snow storm, Bobby Valentine took matters into his own hands.

The former Mets manager, who now doubles as Stamford’s Director of Public Safety and an ESPN baseball analyst, took to the streets Thursday morning and served as a traffic cop near an I-95 on-ramp.

Guess you don’t need cops when you have Bobby Valentine running your public safety department.
