After last night’s 27-21 lost to the Steelers, the Bengals are in the AFC North’s basement all alone at 2-6.
Before the season began, Owens and Ochocinco expressed their belief in their new team and even suggested they could make it to the Super Bowl. At 2-6, even getting back to .500 by season’s end seems unlikely.
The duo has had an amiable relationship for years, but a lack of catches for Ochocinco could be become a problem.
During Monday night’s game, Ochocinco was visibly upset by the lack of balls being thrown his way; he had 1 rec for 15 yards, while Owens racked up 10 rec, 141 yards and 2 TD’s.
For both of these WR divas, losing coupled with a lack of catches usually amount to verbal lashings for the coaches and QB.
If you had the privilege to watch T.O.’s postgame interview, lol, you’ll see that he’s pretty content even though his team is losing. Through 8 games, he has 55 rec, 770 yards and 7 TD’s. Pro Bowl numbers.
Contrarily, Ochocinco has 40 rec, 473 yards and 2 TD’s. Robin didn’t actually expect Batman to come to Cincy and take away his glory. This experiment will cost Marvin Lewis his job.
