The latest high school melee comes to us from the great state of North Carolina where Pine Crest and Union Pines took to the field for a little more than football. That “little more than football” has costs both school a chance at a state championship run.
High School OT will set the scene for us.
The video shows Pinecrest, in dark jerseys, scoring a touchdown, then converting a two-point attempt in the second quarter to give the Patriots at 47-7 advantage. On the ensuing kickoff, a fight between two players breaks out near midfield, leading to what officials called a “bench-clearing brawl.”
Three players from both teams were ejected from the game for fighting.
Sounds festive. Let’s have a look, shall we?
