WR Hank Baskett has bounced around the NFL over the past couple of years. Since being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2006 by the Vikings, he’s played for the Eagles, the Colts, back to the Eagles and earlier today he was signed by the Minnesota Vikings again.
At 6’4 220lb., Baskett is a huge target that any QB would love to have, but his career numbers are pretty meager.
Now in his fifth NFL season, Baskett has a total of 73 receptions, 1,057 yards and 6 TD’s, a ProBowl season for top tier NFL receivers.
Brett Favre and the Vikings will use him anyway. They are struggling offensively, especially in the passing game. Top WR Sidney Rice won’t be back until mid-season and Percy Harvin is a walking injury, so Baskett has a chance to establish himself as a dependable receiver.
It will be good to see Hank in pads for a change, instead of watching him hold Kendra’s bags at one of her photo shoots.
