McGrady only played in a total of 30 games last season, six of those were with the Houston Rockets before being traded to the Knicks before the trade deadline.
Five years ago, McGrady was averaging around 25ppg, last season he averaged 9ppg and 3rebs.
The 31-year-old former scoring champ, will likely be a reserve on a rebuilding Pistons’ roster.
