5 Most Underrated Teams Heading Into The College Football Season

As we inch closer to the beginning of the college football season, here are the 5 most underrated teams to look out for this season.

Miami Hurricanes

This team is loaded on both sides of the ball and I’m shocked that they haven’t been getting more press. Jacory Harris has all of his receivers back along with every running back except Javarris James. So they shouldn’t miss a beat as long as the offensive line does its job. Defensively, they have the potential to have a top ten defense. Allen Bailey is one the top lineman in the nation and is going to be and handful for any offensive lineman who tries to block him. I see 10 wins for the Canes, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they run the table.

Georgia Bulldogs

If Aaron Murray steps up this year, Georgia’s offense could be very dangerous with 10 starters returning. One of those returning starters is A.J. Green who is the top wideout in the country. Georgia’s main concern is can they improve on the defensive side of the ball. New defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has a lot of work to do and his defense will make or break Georgia’s season.

Florida Gators

Even though there were picked to win the SEC East, many people think the Gators lost too much to be in the National Title picture this year. Well, many people are going to be shocked because this Florida offense led by John Brantley could be the best Urban Meyer has had at Florida. Defensively, the Gators are young but very talented and by mid-season they could be a very tough. If Florida beats Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the sky is the limit for the Gators.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

After the terrible performance in the Orange Bowl, people seem to have written off the Yellow Jackets. Their offense is still going to be explosive with Josh Nesbit returning and running back Anthony Allen will have a more bigger role now that Jonathan Dwyer has moved on to the NFL. The Yellow Jackets have issues on defense, but they had the same issues last season and still won the ACC.

Wisconsin Badgers

After dominating Miami in the Champs Sports Bowl, the Badgers have flown under the radar this offseason even after winning 10 games last season. Ohio State, Penn State and Iowa have been getting the most of the press in the Big Ten, but the Badgers are going to be Ohio State’s main competition. Scott Tolzien leads an offense that can bruise your defensive front seven with John Clay but can also go deep with Nick Toon. The Badgers are always tough on defense and could end up being the best in the conference. The game on Oct 16th against Ohio State will be for the Big Ten title.

MIAMI??????? Ugh, all we keep hearing about is Jacory Harris and the return of "swagger." No way.

Hmmm, halfway through the season, looks like the only one of these five picks that panned out was Wisconsin.
