Steve Francis Is The Latest Retired NBA Player Looking To Join The Miami Heat

We knew that players would be jumping at the chance to play with LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade, but we had no idea that it would include dudes that have been sitting on their couch the past few years. The latest ex NBA player to be grabbed by the allure of riding the Miami free agent train to a possible championship is former Houston Rocket, Steve Francis.

Retired or well-past-their-prime point guards keep lobbying to play for the Heat. First it was Penny Hardaway and Stephon Marbury (forget those). Now, Steve Francis plans to contact Miami; he’s 33 but hasn’t played since a quadriceps tendon injury in 2007-08.

Personally, I can’t wait for the news that Jack Haley is also interested.
