Cops To Make Sure There Will Be No Celebrating/Rioting At LeBron’s House

As if we need another storyline to the “Where will LeBron sign?” spectacular tonight on ESPN, he comes another one in the form of securing LeBron’s house. The Bath Township, Ohio police department has vowed to guard LeBron’s house like it’s Fort Knox regardless of what team and city LeBron decides to play for.

So just a heads up Cleveland fans. Your joyous celebrating or your angry rioting will have to be done every where else in Cleveland that is not LeBron’s house.

Police Chief Michael McNeeley said they have an extra squad of police officers working tonight around the James home to make sure there are no problems.

“Whether we get loads of happy fans or unhappy fans showing up outside his home, we will be prepared to keep the traffic moving,” he said. “There has been a lot of traffic in the area lately, but there have been no problems.”
McNeeley said he has a plan in place in case hundreds of people show up that would include calling in aid from surrounding police departments. The Bath force has 20 officers.

“We’re hoping we won’t need it,” he said.

We’re hoping that you do need it.
