Radio Host Has CBS In Hot Water Over Tebow Joke

CBS once again has a decision to make about another idiot radio host who is readying for an early retirement. First, let me introduce you to Fred Toettcher the host of the“Toucher and Rich Show” in Boston. He works for WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub, which is owned by CBS. Now that you have been introduced, let’s get to the joke that Toettcher thought would get some laughs, but instead has raised many eyebrows.

Now I know everyone had an opinion when they saw Denver getting ready to draft Tebow. While all of us were wondering what was Denver thinking, Toettcher was more focused on the gathering at Tebow’s house. So he decides to make an observation.

“It looked like some kind of Nazi rally … so lily-white is what I’m trying to say. Yeah, Stepford Wives.”

WOW. A Nazi rally?????? Now I know that this was intended to be a joke, but there is nothing funny about being called a Nazi. CBS had to deal with a situation like this with Don Imus and now finds themselves in an awkward position again. We know that Tebow is going to brush this off like he has always done, but the media won’t. This probably won’t get as big as the Imus situation but it could end in the same results with Toettcher regretting what he said and then CBS giving him his pink slip.
