LeBron Wins 2nd MVP

According to reports, LeBron James will be named the NBA’s 2010 MVP in consecutive seasons.

James led the Cavaliers to a league leading 61-21 record and his total stats were the best of his 7-year career, 29.7ppg, 7.3rebs and 8.6 assists.

The Cavs begin their second round series at home on Saturday night against the Boston Celtics; the MVP trophy presentation is expected to be held at the University of Akron on Sunday.

The final results of the voting has not been released, but last year James received 109 of 121 first place votes.

Over the past two seasons LeBron has surpassed Kobe Bryant as the best player in the NBA; Bryant held that title for the previous 6 or 7 years.

With an aging Bryant and a young Durant, not quite MVP worthy, LeBron has the opportunity to grab, at least, the next two MVP awards, barring major injuries.

James is the 10th player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVP awards.
