Tostitos Fiesta Bowl – #4 TCU VS #6 Boise State 8 P.M.
The top teams from the MWC and WAC get to showcase their talents tonight as both TCU and Boise State have something to prove. Last season, these two teams played and TCU won in a close defensive game.
Keys For Boise State
Slowing down TCU’s pass rush: DE Jerry Hughes is one of the top defensive ends in the nation and Boise should shift their line his way. Blitz pickup is going to be very important as well.
Kellen Moore needs to limit his turnovers: Moore is a good quarterback, but from time to time, he throws bad passes and some are intercepted. Moore has to make good decisions in this game if Boise wants to win.
Slow down Boise State’s passing offense: TCU should try to show Moore some different coverages throughout the game to try to confuse him.
Speed up the Tempo: Andy Dalton and the TCU offense should run no huddle from time to time to see if Boise State can keep up with them. It also could keep Boise’s defense off balance.
I think this will be another defensive game with both teams making big plays throughout the game, but the scoreboard will not indicate it.
