Rey Maualuga Arrested For DUI

COVINGTON, Ky. — Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga was arrested for driving under the influence early Friday morning.

Covington police arrested 23-year-old Maualuga around 2 a.m. Friday morning in the 600 block of Scott Street.

Maualuga appeared disoriented during his arraignment in Kenton County District Court Friday morning. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in court again at a later date.

Police say the Bengals’ 2009 stand-out rookie was traveling in a Pontiac Sunfire on Scott Street. He allegedly struck two parked vehicles and a parking meter.

Police determined his abilities to drive were impaired and arrested him.

He is charged with driving under the influence and was also cited for careless driving.
