In these times of political corruption, it’s kinda refreshing to see a story about a politician dealing with the same problems us common folks deal with. Undoubtedly, there is some poor guy somewhere that has plans to make the trip to South Florida for the Super Bowl. He has his flight booked, hotel booked, and an itinerary of the parties he wants to hit. The only thing that is missing is game tickets. Poor fella.
But buck up buckaroo. You’re not the only one. Ray Nagin feels you’re pain. And he probably feels more pain than you, seeing as though he is the mayor of New Orleans.
And just like you, he aint giving up. Even if the Saints are making him wait for a ticket he may never get.
In an interview with WBOK radio this morning, Nagin said his office has been in touch with the Saints organization but hasn’t gotten the nod that he’ll be offered a spot in the official team ticket block.
“Yeah, I’m going, I’m going,” Nagin said. “I’m all set with tickets – not tickets – but hotel, plane. I still don’t have tickets, but we’re going to work on that. I don’t have tickets. …We called the Saints organization, and they said they basically that they have some tickets, and they’re going to get back with us. So I’m waiting.
When they hit you with the “we’ll get back with you”, it may be time to find your own tickets, Ray.
