The mastermind behind the most overrated program in college football this season somehow garnered interest from another program. Yes, my mind is blown as well.
And after just a day of basking in that interest, he has informed the interested program that they don’t have to worry about him making their program completely overrated too.
Mississippi football coach Houston Nutt acknowledged Kansas’ interest in him for the Jayhawks’ head coaching opening on Tuesday but said he is content to stay at Ole Miss.
“We appreciate the interest Kansas showed in our staff, but we are happy at Ole Miss and looking forward to the AT&T Cotton Bowl,” Nutt said in a released statement.
You came away unscathed this time, Kansas. Next time be careful what you ask for.
