Since we went down the NFL Midseason path yesterday with our NFL Midseason Review, we may as well give out our NFL Midseason Awards. It’s only the right thing to do.
NFL Most Valuable Player
Just find someone who can argue against this. I’ll wait…..
Couldn’t find anyone, huh? You know why? Look at these stats:
– 2006 yards, 16 TDs, 6 INTs, 68% completions, 107.6 QB rating
And not to mention, his team is undefeated.
Defensive Player of the Year
And you wonder why the Saints are undefeated. They have the top dog on offense and defense.
– 26 tackles, 1/2 sack, 7 INT’s, 3 TD’s
And again, must I mention that his team is undefeated? Well, I just did.
Coach of the Year
If someone would’ve told you that Josh McDaniels would’ve been up for any type of award, you would’ve told them to you know what. Unless of course, it was the “Idiot Of The Century” award. But instead, he’s the “Coach Of The Year” at the midway point.
Comeback Player of the Year
You do remember that he only played in 1 game last season, right? Oh, you don’t? It’s probably because he has killed your favorite team’s defense sporting a wooden leg.
– 2032 yards, 15 TDs, 4 INTs, 65.6% completions, 99.9 QB rating
Offensive Rookie of the Year
You’ve seen what he’s been doing, so I know you will agree. If you don’t, just let the stats convince you.
– 28 receptions, 369 yards, 3 TD’s
– 28 returns, 860 yards, 2 TD’s
Defensive Rookie of the Year
You probably didn’t know this guy was tearing it up, but he is. You didn’t know that because he plays for the Texans.
Here’s his stats:
– 66 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks, 2 INT’s, 2 FF’s
Oh and about those 66 tackles. That’s tops on his team and 6th in the league.
Debate if you will. But can you really debate any of these? No you can’t.
