College Football Week Ten: What We Learned

Another tough week for SEC refs as they blow another call. During the Alabama-LSU game, LSU’s Patrick Peterson for made a game changing interception, but once again the refs blew the call. After watching the replay, it was clear to see that Peterson got both feet down, but the SEC refs didn’t think so. I can’t believe the so called “best conference” has the worst refs in college football.

Charlie Weis is done at Notre Dame. After getting upset by Navy on Saturday, I think the Weis era at Notre Dame is over. He has had more than enough time to get this thing turned around. And with the easy schedule they had, it was BCS bowl or bust. This team has too much talent to lose to Navy. He has to go.

Cincinnati needs to enjoy Brian Kelly. Because after this year, he will be gone. Kelly has been getting interest from schools for the past two years, but with the Notre Dame job possibly open, that will be too much to pass up.

Iowa is who we thought they were. Finally it happened. Northwestern did what Indiana should have done and that was upset the most overrated team in college football. I have said plenty of times that Iowa was not a top 5 team and that they are barely top 15. The only good news for Iowa is that they can still go to a BCS bowl.
