Roy Williams has channeled his inner T.O.

The Dallas Cowboys thought they got rid of their diva receiver when they gave Terrell Owens his walking papers last spring, but current Cowboy receiver Roy Williams has inherited the ‘diva’ title with his recent grumblings.

In his own words, Williams explains why he has not produced as a #1 receiver should.

“I’m the No. 1 receiver,” Williams said. “But things are just going No. 2’s way……”He gets the ball thrown correctly his way,” Williams said of Austin. “I’m stretching and falling and doing everything.

Here are the stats. You decide if this is a simple case of quarterback error or receiver failure.

Miles Austin has amassed 482 receiving yards and 4 TD’s in his first three starts, while Williams has 33 catches for 447 yards in 16 games with the Cowboys. The numbers don’t lie. The guy who wants it the most will shine.

Instead of blaming Romo for his stats, Williams should look at his own work ethic and route running abilities. T.O. is a talker, but his effort can never be questioned. Maybe Williams should have borrowed that characteristic from the legendary receiver.

Roy Williams is not the number one. Last I checked, the paycheck doesn't dictate who's the better receiver.

  2. Los Brown says:

If all the overpaid receivers shared your way of thinking, the NFL would be a better place.
