After Just 3 Games, Iverson Is Outta There

It’s official. Allen Iverson and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to part ways on Monday.

The 14-year NBA All-Star never really built any type of chemistry with the team. He missed all of the pre-season and only played in 3 of the team’s 10 games.

Iverson left the team on Nov.7 to deal with “personal matters,” but the biggest reason, in my opinion, for his departure was his off-the-bench role wasn’t what he expected.

It took a lot for the 10-time All-Star, former scoring champ, and MVP to sign a 1-year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, but to play in Memphis and come off the bench is simply beneath Iverson.

After he clears the waiver wire on Wednesday, he’ll be a free agent again, and guess who’s interested. Those lowly New York Knicks.
