Will Rush Limbaugh be the Rams new owner?

Right-wing conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh and business partner Dave Checketts are in negotiations to become the operating owners of the NFL’s St’ Louis Rams.

Ten years ago the Rams were the reigning Super Bowl champs and among the top-tier teams of the league. Today the Rams are among the NFL’s bottom-dwellers; they have lost 14 straight and have only have 5 victories since 2007.

What can Rush bring to the table? Aside from his passionate, aggressive rhetoric maybe Limbaugh can shake up the franchise from top to bottom.

Though he’s widely know for his anti-liberal commentary, Limbaugh has worked in the world of sports before. He worked for the Kansas City Royals and was analyst for ESPN’s NFL pregame show, but his ‘racist’ comments about Donovan McNabb ended his tenure there.

Checketts has extensive experience in professional sports, he was the GM of the Utah Jazz at the age of 28 in 1984 and is the current owner of the St. Louis Blues.
