Favre leads Vikes to victory over Packers

Finally we’re able to see why the Vikings fought like a bat out of hell to get Brett Favre into training camp.

Favre played nearly a flawless game on Monday night against his former team, the Green Bay Packers, and led the Vikings to a 30-23 win.

Since Favre signed with the Vikings in the summer, this game has been circled on most football fans’ calender and it surprisingly lived up to the hype.

While out dueling his protege’, Aaron Rodgers, Favre went 24-for-31, had 3TD’s and 0 INT’s. In a losing effort, Rodgers had a career high in pass yards, 384, 2TD’s and 1 INT.

Despite his career night, Rodgers was sacked 8 times, most of which can be attributed to Vikings defensive end Jared Allen.

I must admit I believed Favre was done, but with a superior offensive line, a pretty good receiving core and Adrian Peterson the Vikings may actually be the best team in the NFC.
