Finally, the college football season is here and since this is my first year doing this, it’s sure to be one of a kind. First, I will tell you my game of the week, then the upset special, and end it by picking the winners of each game in the Top 25.

Game Of The Week

#5 Alabama Crimson Tide VS #7 Virginia Tech Hokies

Last year in this game, Alabama shocked Clemson and the nation with a power running game and great defense that blew Clemson right out of Atlanta. This year, Virginia Tech steps up to the plate to try to gain some respect for the ACC and be in the thick of the national title race. Both teams bring great defenses but I don’t think the Hokies have the offensive firepower to put up the points on Alabama’s defense. This is going to be a dogfight and a game that should have alot of big hits.

Upset Special

#15 Georgia Over #9 Oklahoma State
There has been alot of hype about Oklahoma State and how they can be in the chase with Texas and Oklahoma for the Big 12 title, but they need to watch out for Georgia. No one has been talking about the Dawgs and if Joe Cox can get the ball to A.J. Green and play great defense they will win this game.

#12 California VS Maryland – Close game but Javid Best will be the deciding factor. 24-21 California

#15 Georgia Tech VS Jacksonville State – Jonathan Dwyer and Roddy Jones will have a big day. 42-10 GT

#21 North Carolina VS Citadel – Warm up game for the Tar Heels. 38-7 UNC

#22 Iowa VS Northern Iowa – Cake walk for Iowa. 24-3 Iowa

#23 Notre Dame VS Nevada – The Notre Dame watch begins. ND 31-17

#24 Nebraska VS Florida Atlantic – Nice warm up game for the Cornhuskers. Nebraska 31-13

#25 Kansas VS North Colorado – Look for Kansas to put up alot of points. Kansas 42-13

#18 Florida State VS Miami – Close game until the 4th when Florida State pulls away. 24-14 FSU
