Weekly Rewind

The Weekly Rewind is our recap of some of the most captivating sports stories of the previous week.

World’s fastest man– Usain Bolt ran 100M in 9.58 sec and 200M in 19.19 sec. at the World Athletic Championships in Berlin, in both races he set new world records. If he remains healthy and keeps his nose clean, he’ll be considered the greatest runner of all-time when he hangs up his running shoes.

The ageless wonder?- Brett Favre had more face to face encounters with the turf than completions in Friday’s pre-season win against the Chiefs. Favre went 1 for 4 and had 4 yds. passing. Here’s a pre-season prediction, the Vikes will not win a playoff game and Brad Childress will be fired, you heard it here first.

Just win baby!- John Calipari is walking proof that if you win, all else will be tolerated, including violating all of the NCAA’s rules. Calipari has been using illegal tactics since his days at UMass, now the record books has also erased his Final Four appearance with Memphis in 2008. Kentucky sure knows how to pick him.

Back in the race– With his win Saturday night in Bristol, Kyle Busch has moved back into the points standings. He’s currently 34 points behind Matt Kenseth with two races left before the 12 driver race for the championship begins.
