Weekly Rewind

Our weekly rewind is a recap of some of the most captivating sports stories of the previous week.

On May 26, 2009 the Tyson family said goodbye to Exodus, Mike’s 4-year-old daughter that died after a tragic treadmill accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family as they begin a long and trying period of grief and bereavement.

Brady’s not the only one smiling, Robert Kraft, ‘The Hoodie’ and the entire New England nation of fans are experiencing extreme euphoria. Why? Because last week, Tom Brady begin OTA’s with the team. A great sign for the Patriots, but not for the rest of the league.
Rafael Nadal, a man who owned Roland Garros for the last 4 years, was defeated in four sets yesterday by the Swedish Robin Soderling. The #1 ranked player had one 31 straight matches at the French Open, which was an all-time record. Maybe Federer can get back to his winning ways now that Nadal has been eliminated.
I guess the networks can stop airing Kobe and Lebron’s commercials. Ads that took a life of their own are now worthless thanks to the Orlando Magic. Reaching the NBA Finals for only the second time in franchise history, the Magic will attempt to stun the Lakers in the finals.

The Penguins are getting mopped up by the Redwings. Detroit took a commanding 2-0 lead after defeating the Pens 3-1 on Sunday. Crosby has yet to score a goal and the rest of the team appear to be going through the motions. Sure hope the Penguins don’t get swept, although, at this point, it seems likely.
