NBA owners never cease to amaze me. First it was the tale of Bob Jonson sending the Bobcats on a season ending road trip so he could play with his little ponies and now Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner, Stan Kroenke has double booked his venue for a taping of WWE’s Monday Night Raw and Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Both are scheduled for May 25th.
So of course, there has to be a war of words whenever Vince McMahon is involved. And even if Kroenke won’t bite, McMahon still has to stick it to him.
Even though the Denver Nuggets had a strong team this year and were projected to make the playoffs, obviously Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke did not have enough faith in his own team to hold the May 25th date for a potential playoff game,” WWE chairman Vince McMahon said in a statement.
I’m sure Kroenke won’t agree (and McMahon will agree), but those are fighting words. And this can only be settled by some good ole wrestling matches. Here’s what I’m thinking. We can hold a special pay per view event this Saturday where the Nuggets and the Raw superstars go head to head. Whoever comes away with the most victories gets the Pepsi Center on the 25th. Sound good? Yeah, I know it does. (* In my best Jim Ross voice) Let’s take a look at the card.
Ladder Match: Chris “Birdman” Anderson vs. Matt Hardy
A pretty good match to open the event. Lots of jumping and flying around. Not sure who I would go with in this one.
Completely Useless Match: Rocky vs Hornswoggle
Cmon. It will at least be funny.
Lingerie Match: Nuggets Dancers vs Raw Divas
No explanation needed here.
Tag Team Match: Carmelo and Chancey vs Carlito and Primo
Two dynamic duos go at it.
Battle Of The
Tattoos: K Mart vs Batista
Some impressive ink will surely be on display.
First Blood Match: George Karl vs Vince McMahon
There’s nothing better to end a pay per view event than a first blood match.
Oh and yes I’m aware that there are six matches here. In the event of a 3-3 tie, we’ll just have a second lingerie match to settle the score. And what a great settling of the score it would be.
