The Lake show goes on

The Lakers sent the Jazz home packing with a 107-96 victory in game 5 on Monday night in LA. Kobe Bryant led the team with 31 points while Lamar Odom added 26 points and 15 rebounds.

Though the Lakers defeated Utah in 5 games, their weakness on the defensive end was exposed. Los Angeles is arguably the most talented team in the league, but doesn’t have the killer instinct. In each game against Utah, the Lakers led by double digits but allowed the Jazz to cut the lead to single digits and even lost game three 88-86 after being up big in the second half.

Who’s next for the Lakers? The Houston Rockets or the Portland Trailblazers, Houston currently leads the series 3-1. At full throttle on both ends of the court, the Lakers are unbeatable, but if they continue to have mediocre lapse in each game their road to the NBA Finals may be rocky.
