Cavs sweep the Pistons, the mission continues

The Cleveland Cavaliers completed the sweep of the Detroit Pistons 99-78 on Sunday afternoon in the Motor City. Cleveland was led by Lebron James who scored 36 points and snagged 13 rebounds.

The Pistons had been the near the top of the Eastern Conference and made it to the conference finals for the past 6 seasons and won the title in 2004, but the early season trade of Chauncey Billups left void too big to fill. The Iverson deal never panned out.

Who’s next for the Cavs? Either Atlanta or Miami, neither of which puts any fear into the hearts of Cleveland. While the other teams in the East battle for their playoff lives, the Cavs will be resting and waiting at home for their next victim. Without home court advantage, Cleveland may not lose a game until the NBA Finals.
