All Up In Your Bracket: East Region

Today, we’re hooking you up with our picks for the East and South regions. We’ll start with the East region.

The team that is primed to pull off the first round upset: VCU. The Rams aren’t new to this. Taking down big name programs are the norm for them now. And with Eric Maynor still in the fold, an upset in this year’s tournament is not out of the question.

A top seed that may not make it out of the 1st weekend: Duke. The Blue Devils are possibly playing their best basketball of the year, but a potential second round match up against Texas may prove problematic.

A team other than Pitt that can win the region: Villanova. Nova’s style of play will cause problems for many teams in this region. If somehow Pitt gets knocked out early, look for Villanova to win out.

Who we’re taking in the 1st round: Pitt, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Xavier, UCLA, Villanova, Texas, Duke

Who we’re taking in round 2: Pitt, Florida State, Villanova, Texas

Sweet Sixteen winners: Pitt, Villanova

Regional Champion: Pitt
