A Premature Look At What I Hope The Bulls’ Roster Will Look Like After Thursday’s Trade Deadline

There are reports everywhere that the Bulls are the favorite to pry Amare Stoudamire away from Phoenix. In return, Chicago would have to part ways with Drew Gooden (and his expiring contract) and Tyrus Thomas. Looks good to me. Looks so good to me, let’s prematurely take a look at how solid a team this trade could make the Bulls for years to come.

Picture this Bulls’ fans:

C – Joakim Noah
PF – Amare Stoudamire
SF – Luol Deng
SG – Ben Gordon
PG – Derrick Rose

Second Team
PG – Kirk Hinrich
SG – Thabo Sefolosha
SF – Andres Nocioni
PF – Cedric Simmons
C – Aaron Gray

With Stoudamire in the fold, the Bulls would next need to turn to unloading Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, or Andres Nocioni in hopes of landing a SG with size. If I had my way, it would be either Nocioni or Hinrich so that Gordon can lead the way for the second team. If they can get that done, this team could be scary good.
