Bynum plays big

Lakers’ big man, Andrew Bynum had a career game last night against their in-town rivals the L.A. Clippers.

Bynum scored a career high 42 pts. while collecting 15 boards and 3 blks in a 108-97 victory over the underachieving Clippers. The 21 year-old, is averaging 13.4 ppg. and 7.9rpg this season. His scoring average has rose steadily since the 2005-06 season, his first in the league.

Coming out of high school directly to the NBA, Bynum was chosen by the Lakers purely on potential. Thus far, the Bynum project is going according to plan and if he continues to improve at this rate, he’ll be an All-Star center.

As Kobe ages, Bynum’s role in the offense will continue to increase and whenever Bryant decides to hang it up, it will presumably be Bynum’s team. Before he leaves the league, I’m projecting that he’ll be the most dominate force in the western conference.

  1. Bynum and D. Howard are going to dominate the NBA in the next 2 years from the center position.Greg Oden is about 3-4 years away.

  2. Greg Oden will never dominate! He’ll never live up to the hype.
