I tried to warn Bulls fans that Vinny Del Negro would be in over his head. Now it seems that my prediction is coming true. Not even a month into the season, Vinny Del Negro seems to have run out of ideas on how to motivate his Bulls. So according to the Chicago Tribune, Del Negro has brought in Lou Holtz to talk to the Bulls about “teamwork, passion, and goals”.
They get tired of my voice probably every day on certain things,” Del Negro said. I’m a big believer in trying to learn something every day, whether it’s basketball or something from a teammate or a play or something outside basketball.
With the young team like we have, it’s good to get other people who have been very successful and well respected and can give a message to the guys. Maybe one guy takes something away from what coach Holtz says, and that makes me feel good.
Honestly, what could ole Lou teach the Baby Bulls? Well besides this:
As entertaining as it might be, I doubt it helps Del Negro keep his job.
