The Tennessee Titans are on top of the NFL’s Power Rankings and are the only undefeated team at 5-0. Jeff Fisher has his team playing inspired ball despite the early season QB controversy involving Vince Young. With Kerry Collins, the 14 year vet, at the helm along with the emergence of RB Chris Johnson the offense has been more efficient. As usual the defense is stout, the team allows a league-low average of 11.2 points a game and is tied first for allowing the least amount of passing touchdowns. The Titans sit alone at the top of the AFC South and hold a 2 game lead over division rivals Indianapolis Colts, who in recent years have the dominated the division. Sunday the Titans will travel to Arrowhead and take on the 1-4 Kansas City Chiefs , but will be tested in the weeks to come. The undefeated Titans have yet to play the first of 2 match ups with the Colts and must travel to Chicago and Jacksonville for their first and only back-to-back road games of the season. The next five weeks will determine if Tennessee is a real contender or not, but for now the jury is still out.
Are the Titans a legit contender?
