Wells to play against USC, but will it even matter?

Beanie Wells Chris “Beanie” Wells has been given the OK to play when the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes travel to play the No. 1 USC Trojans. Wells, who didn’t play in the Buckeyes’ narrow victory over Ohio University, was in a protective boot all of last week and has only participated in individual drills so far this week. Even still, Wells has told Jim Tressel that he’s “ready to carry 45 times on Saturday.”

45 carries huh? That MAY keep them from getting blown out but to win this game, they need another 45 carries for Archie Griffin, 20 receptions from Cris Carter, and 20 tackles from Chris Spielman. I’ll go out on a limb and say none of the above happens and this one will get ugly quickly.
